WHEN: Spring, 1882
WHERE: St. Louis, Missouri
WHAT: Elizabeth and George meet up for the first time since her immortalness...

St. Louis was one of the finest and biggest cities in the country, and Elizabeth had made it her home for the last five years. It was here that she'd gotten herself a home and found employment as a teacher, which frustrated her but at least allowed her to share her love of learning with others. And it wasn't housekeeping. There was no way Queen Elizabeth was going to clean someone else's home, no matter how bad things got. It was bad enough that she had to take care of her own.

Although her unwed status wasn't the norm for ladies of her apparent age, it was becoming at least a little more common. Forty years ago she'd had to marry a Greek Titan to keep her from being a society scandal, and now she was able to live alone and hold down a job. Things were certainly changing.

It was on her walk home from the bakery that she felt an oddly familiar sensation. She had come across others like herself, so that part was no mystery, but there was something about this particular one that made her think... no, she wasn't quite sure what it made her think. She only knew that she was now looking around herself, scanning the crowd for whoever it was.
